New linear converters deliver Snell motion-adaptive conversion quality at lowest ever price point
Launched at NAB 2015, the new LC300 and LC350 single channel linear framerate converters offer legendary Snell motion-adaptive conversion quality from just $3,900.
The LC300 is ideal for a wide range of applications, including high-density international program distribution and back-up channels. Its low price point also brings the LC300 within reach of AV, prosumer, college and house of worship users, delivering conversion quality and feature levels previously only achievable with significantly more expensive technology.
Features of the LC300 and LC350 include: linear motion-adaptive SD/HD/3G-SDI framerate conversion; SD/HD/3G-SDI up, down and cross format conversion; 16-channel embedded audio processing; closed caption and timecode handling; preset and signaling ARC modes; synchronization; dual PSU; continuous output when input switches. The LC300 also offers easy control direct from its front panel as well as remote control using Snell RollCall via a standard web interface.
The LC350 also adds composite I/O, balanced AES and analog audio I/O and optional unbalanced AES I/O.
“The LC300 and LC350 bring Snell conversion technology within the reach of a much wider range of applications as well as offering mainstream broadcasters new options,” said Steve Cole, Snell Product Manager. “While the price points are low however, we have not sacrificed any of the quality and reliability for which Snell is renowned; these new linear framerate converters set a new price/performance benchmark that will be welcomed by our customers.”
The LC300 and LC350 will be available via the Snell online store and via direct and reseller sales channels.
