Telemetrics Introduces HD Capability To Coax Camera Control System.

New Option Provides Additional Flexibility in System Design & Control.

Las Vegas, NV (April 14, 2008) – Telemetrics Inc. is introducing an HD Fiber Link option to its highly successful Coax Link 55C Camera Control System here at NAB 2008.  The new HD Fiber Link option offers a convenient and cost-effective means of transmitting true HD/SD SDI video from any camera to the Telemetrics base station over long distances.

“In today’s advancing broadcast environment, Telemetrics continues to offer innovative camera automation technology which is designed to give our customers more efficient and flexible choices,” said Anthony Cuomo, Vice President and General Manager, Telemetrics, Inc.  “The HD Fiber Link provides broadcasters and production professionals the same conveniences in HD as are afforded by our Standard Coax Link System and allows them to design systems which are best suited for their application.”

The new product consists of a Camera Adapter Option (55C-CA-HDFL) and an HD Fiber Link Base Station (HDFL-BS). The HD signal is transmitted across a single-mode fiber optic cable which runs alongside the main coax cable.

The rack-mountable HD Fiber Link Base Station is factory configured with one HD Fiber Link Receiver Card and can be expanded to house up to four Receiver Cards.  Each Card is designed with one fiber input and two HD/SD SDI outputs.  For maximum flexibility and economy, one HD Fiber Link Base Station can serve up to four 55C Camera Control Systems with four separate cameras.
