SAM: Snell Advanced Media

As part of the company’s ongoing expansion and focus on software, datacenter, and cloud deployed solutions.

Snell Advanced Media today announced the creation of a new division combining several of the company’s product lines into a business unit focused on the provision of software based solutions. Neil Maycock has been appointed to run Media Software Solutions as EVP and General Manager, he is joined by David Lane who is CTO and EVP Engineering for the new division.

Maycock said “SAM has a strong heritage of providing highly innovative software solutions from production and editing through to playout and Channel in a Box. The creation of a group specifically focused on these product lines will allow us to not only continue the technology innovation, but also develop the new commercial models that allow our customers to fully leverage the flexibility of software systems”

The Media Software Solutions division will combine the company’s News & Sports production systems, Media Management, Workflow Orchestration, and Playout solutions. The company showcased new introductions across all these product lines at NAB 2016, including powerful social media publishing solutions working natively in non-broadcast formats.
