4K 60p and IP production workflows, sports highlighting, CiaB, workflow and playout automation, and 4K 60p high quality color and finishing on show

CCW 2014, 12-13 November 2014, Booths #1125 & #1133: Quantel and Snell are out in force at CCW 2014, with product demonstrations covering 4K 60p and IP production workflows, sports highlighting, CiaB, workflow and playout automation, and 4K 60p high quality color and finishing.

4K 60p and IP production workflows
A complete 4K 60p production workflow is on show, built around the Sirius 800 router and the brand new Kahuna 9600 switcher, which includes up to 24 M/Es and 48 keyers. Sirius 800 is an enterprise level, multi-format router that can simultaneously handle SD, HD, 1080i and 4K 60p signals, and is routing sources for the Kahuna 9600 switcher. The switcher is driven by the revolutionary Maverik modular control surface. A Pablo Rio is one of the 4K 60p sources - providing fantastic 4K 60p imagery from this summer's FIFA World Cup(tm).

Visitors to the booth can also discuss the enormous potential of realtime IP-based signal routing as demonstrated in partnership with Cisco at NAB and IBC earlier this year.

Sports highlighting
LiveTouch, the brand new studio sports highlighting system, will be making its US debut at CCW. LiveTouch is a scalable system capable of supporting productions in several studios to maximise ROI. Uniquely, LiveTouch offers bidirectional editor integration making it faster and easier to integrate editing and highlights operations. Prototype systems are already being put through their paces with a major US broadcaster, with first shipments of LiveTouch scheduled for early 2015.

Channel in a Box
The industry-leading ICE channel in a box is on show, being demonstrated in combination with Morpheus playout automation and Momentum Media Asset Management. The latest developments are being highlighted, including new web-based interfaces and apps that extend access to any desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone, enabling control and monitoring from anywhere while reducing broadcasters' cost of ownership and operational complexity.

High quality color and finishing
Pablo Rio is being demonstrated handling realtime color correction and finishing at 4K 60p on the booth. All the latest features and facilities are on show, including Flow Motion motion-estimated speed changing, Long GOP XAVC, Apple ProRes 4444 XQ, support for the latest Sony and ARRI SDKs and AS-11/DPP. Visitors can also discuss realtime 8K 60p color and finishing on Pablo Rio - which will make its world debut the following week at the InterBEE show in Japan.
