Ottawa, Canada – June 20, 2022 – Once again, the creative and collaborative efforts of Ross' Rocket Surgery Creative Services and their clients have been recognized by The Telly Awards.
This makes 28 Telly Awards won by Ross and their clients since 2020.
Each year The Telly Awards showcases the best work created within television and across video, for all screens. Telly Award winners represent work from some of the most respected advertising agencies, television stations, production companies and publishers from around the world. The Telly Awards recognizes work that has been created on the behalf of a client, for a specific brand and/or company (including your own) or self-directed as a creative endeavour.
This year, Ross' Rocket Surgery received a Silver Telly in the Immersive & Mixed Media Craft-Use of VR for their AR work on Bally's Fight Night with Golden Boy promotions, Media and Entertainment. They also received a Bronze Telly in the Non-Broadcast Craft-Use of Graphics for their Super Bowl Video Board Production Virtual Graphics with Van Wagner Productions, LLC.
The Bally's Fight Night production was truly unique in that it mimicked a famous 1980s street fighting console game by having fighters wear sensors that measured the frequency and velocity of strikes.
Rocket Surgery, Ross Video's in-house creative and professional services division, created the production's scoring system and data server workflow using DashBoard from Ross, the power bar graphic using XPression, the augmented reality graphics using the Voyager graphic rendering solution, as well as creating a full insert and fighter stats package and graphics for the LED display wall in-venue.
NFL's big game production was unique as well, with many Ross features including Ross XPression Tessera powered 360-degreee infinity board that spans 120 yards and contains nearly 80 million pixels. However, it was augmented reality (AR) elements, created by Ross Rocket Surgery creative team using the companies Voyager graphics rendering solution that got recognized by this year's Telly Award. Along with ACID cameras, Furio robotic camera heads, and the Lucid Studio control system, Voyager highlighted scoring drives and other Next Gen Stats content to keep fans engaged and entertained.
