Ottawa, Canada, November 10th 2021 – Ross Video is very pleased to announce that Media Mania, a long-standing and respected UAE-based production company has selected Ross Video’s Hyperconverged production platform for their new state-of-the-art 12G 4K UHD OB van.
Media Mania is one of the few companies in the UAE that designs, builds and operates OB vans, managing various campaigns and productions for many respected high-profile broadcast and ministry clients, local and international. After spending just over 12 months reviewing broadcast industry vendors and the various solutions they offer, Media Mania decided to invest in Ross Video’s latest Ultrix Acuity Hyperconverged production platform, a new production solution that combines the company’s flagship Acuity production switcher with the software-defined Ultrix routing/AV processing product. This solution will form the backbone of a new, third OB truck that will be used to create international sports productions throughout the Gulf region and beyond.
Media Mania CEO Roland Daou is very pleased with Ross Video’s approach to the relationship. “After many months of assessing the broadcast industry, it was clear that Ross Video’s local team in the region and the innovative software-defined technology met our technical and operational requirements. We are delighted to put our third OB van on the road to start producing exciting and innovative productions all over the Middle East.”
Ross Video’s Benoit Rousseil, Regional Sales Director – Southern Europe, Middle East & Africa, is thrilled to welcome Media Mania on board. “We are very grateful for the trust that Media Mania has shown in Ross, and we’re very pleased to be part of this innovative project. Our local team and our technology both played crucial roles in convincing Media Mania Ross is the right technology partner for them, and our continually expanding footprint in the UAE is a big part of that story. We are very excited to be working with such a prestigious client in the Middle East and can’t wait to see how they will innovate using our latest Hyperconverged production platform.”
