NBC Olympics Selects Its Augmented Reality Graphics Provider for Its Production of Olympic Games in Tokyo

Ross Video to Enable NBC Olympics Augmented Reality Graphics During its Coverage of Tokyo Olympics 

Stamford, Connecticut – June 7th, 2021 – NBC Olympics, a division of the NBC Sports Group, has selected Ross Video to provide an Augmented Reality graphics solution for its production of the Games of the XXXII Olympiad, which take place in Tokyo, Japan, from July 23rd – August 8th. The announcement was made today by Michael Sheehan, Coordinating Director, NBC Olympics, and Pete Ross, Director of Sales USA – Eastern, Ross Video.

Rocket Surgery, Ross Video’s in-house creative and professional services division, will be providing Voyager, the latest generation graphics rendering solution (based on the Unreal 4 engine from Epic Games) along with production crew to integrate the graphic elements designed by the NBC Olympics graphics team and operate the technology on the air.
