Graphite PPC from Ross Wins Two InfoComm Best of Show Awards
Posted on Friday, June 19, 2020

Ross Video is delighted to announce that the new Graphite PPC (Portable Production Center) has received the 2020 Future Best of Show InfoComm Special Edition Award by AV Technology, and the 2020 Future Best of Show InfoComm Special Edition Award by Rental & Staging Systems, a Sound & Video Contractor brand that serves the rental and staging industry.

Future’s Best of Show Awards are evaluated by a panel of engineers and industry experts, and are selected based on innovation, feature set, cost efficiency and performance in serving the industry. Winners receive an award for display and will be featured in the respective magazines. All nominated products are featured in the special Best of Show Awards Program Guide, to be distributed in digital edition form to more than 100,000 readers of Sound & Video Contractor, Rental & Staging Systems, AV Technology, Digital Signage, Installation, Government Video, Pro Sound News and Tech & Learning.

Launched only one month ago as part of the Ross Live | 2020 program, Graphite PPC is a powerful but extremely compact production solution that includes a real Carbonite production switcher, real XPression graphics, RAVE audio engine and complementary XPression graphics and clips package. Graphite PPC is incredibly light – it weighs only 42 lbs / 19kg including its dedicated soft-shell carrying case equipped with a pull-out handle and wheels. It’s also extremely quiet – ultra-quiet fan cooling means the system can easily be used in the same space as the talent with microphones. Graphite PPC is simple to set-up and requires just a single operator, so you can now deliver a high impact, high efficiency production even more easily.

“I’m honored once again to be able to congratulate our winning manufacturers for their outstanding bounty of innovation,” said Matt Pruznick, editor of AV Technology. “The strength of this year’s field is a salient barometer of the health of our industry.”

“We are proud to be able to celebrate the achievements of product teams in this most unusual year,” says Cynthia Wisehart, editor of Rental & Staging Systems and Sound & Video Contractor. “Normally these products would have debuted on the show floor. We are happy to be able to acknowledge them in a uniquely 2020 way and help draw attention to the efforts of all the engineers, designers, product managers and executives involved.”

Nigel Spratling, Vice President of Switchers & Servers, is very pleased to accept the two awards on behalf of his team. “We designed Graphite PPC to be a powerful and cost-effective ‘grab and go’ production solution. I’m delighted to see it recognized by these two prestigious titles, reflecting the product’s inevitable popularity in both the AV and rental/staging markets.”
