The ONYX Series VGA Routing Switcher is designed for multimedia use. It supports VGA and VGA+AUDIO signals. Switching sizes range from 32×32 to 128×128. Three frame versions are available: 2RU, 4RU and 8RU. The routing system encompasses not only the routing switcher but also two converter boxes. One converter box is at the PC end and is used for VGA encoding, stereo audio embedding and pre-emphasis for signals from the signal source. The other box is at the display end and is intended for VGA decoding, stereo audio extraction and balance for signal synchronization. The switcher connects with the converters through CAT-5 cable via RJ-45 connectors. It supports DDC (Display Data Channel) protocol. Multiple control interfaces include RS-232/422, TCP/IP, CAN and C-BUS. Redundant control and power supply ensures stability and reliability. This switcher is ideally suited for use in large-screen projection displays, E-Education, master control centers and multimedia conference rooms.
