15 July 2010 – Nevion, formerly Network/VPG, a leading video transport solution provider for broadcasters, service providers and government entities worldwide, announced the appointment of Arne-Johan Martinsen as the product manager responsible for its Flashlink range of products. He’ll be based in Sandefjord, Norway and will be responsible for the strategy and roadmap for the Flashlink range of products.
Prior to this, Martinsen was project leader and hardware engineer at Nevion in 2006, working on SD/HD/3G-SDI fiber transportation. Before this, he was a hardware designer at Appear TV, developing products for DVB-S/S2, DVB-T, DVB-C, ASI, QAM COFDM and video over IP.
“Arne-Johan brings a wealth of IP and video transport solution knowledge as well as hands-on hardware design experience,” said John Glass, executive vice president of global marketing, Nevion. “His technical and application acumen will be instrumental in our continued product innovation and global positioning or our Flashlink line of transport and signal processing solutions. We're excited to have him as an integral member of the marketing team.”
Martinsen also held the role of hardware designer and project leader at Tandberg Television, where he worked on ASI multiplexing and ASI to IP streaming. Before this, he worked at Hegel as a hardware designer for high-end home audio systems.
He holds a master of science in Electronics Engineering at NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology).
