Second time Jupiter wins best of InfoComm award for control systems

Hayward, CA, September 4, 2012—rAVe publications has announced that Jupiter Systems received the Best of InfoComm 2012 Award for Canvas, Jupiter’s multipoint collaborative visualization solution for the enterprise. This is the second time Jupiter has received the Best of InfoComm Award for control systems.

Each year rAVe honors manufacturers and companies with a “Best of Show” Award based on their innovation in developing the best products for the audiovisual (AV) industry. The award is given during InfoComm, the leading trade show for the commercial AV industry. Jupiter’s PixelNet® Distributed Display Wall System, a revolutionary new way to capture, distribute, control and display digital and analog video sources for audiovisual applications, was also selected to receive the rAVe award when it was introduced in 2008.

"We at Jupiter systems are honored to accept the rave best new control system software product award for canvas,” said Brady O. Bruce, Jupiter’s vice president of marketing and strategic alliances. “These awards recognize excellence in innovation and exceptional value to customers as measured by the customers themselves. The release of canvas is critically important for Jupiter systems, our customers and the industry because canvas moves beyond current limits on participation and collaboration when using video display walls.”

Canvas takes video display walls away from the limitations of being isolated in one location with operators, managers and others who can review and analyze information together and determine what action to take only when they are all in the same room at the same time.

“Instead, Canvas allows authorized users to see, share and collaborate across the enterprise no matter where they are located,” added Bruce. “Users can access content wherever and whenever it is needed.” For many years Jupiter has provided Windows-based processors that make any display wall into a PC desktop. With Canvas, every PC desktop can now be a display wall. “The ability to visualize display wall content and collaborate from a remote PC or mobile device is essential in the enterprise and it will become the new industry standard,” said Bruce.

The rAVe awards are sponsored by rAVe Publications, a news organization that provides coverage of the commercial (ProAV) and residential (HomeAV) audiovisual trade industries. The awards identify the best of the industry at the annual InfoComm show.  This year, 933 exhibitors and 34,000 attendees took part in the show in Las Vegas.
