GRASS VALLEY, CA, 9 June 2015 - Recognizing the need for custom control solutions in an off-the-shelf world, Ensemble Designs has developed the revolutionary 5835 Action Control Panel. This exciting new product will be demonstrated at InfoComm 2015.
The 5835 ties directly to the Routing and Thumbnail preview system that is standard in all of the Ensemble NXT Compact Routers. Using the Programmable Actions feature in the NXT Series, the 10 Action Keys on the 5835 can be customized to perform tailor-made recalls of any set of configuration parameters and cross point salvos.
Actions are programmed through a web-based graphical UI in the NXT Router. Actions tie directly to any or all of the control presets in the router. They are fully user-programmable, with user-assigned names, to make the Action Keys intuitive and specific to the user's environment. The 5835 puts the exact controls at the user's fingertips, organized exactly as they need to be. Operators can focus on the job at hand, with the push of a single button commanding even complex sets of actions.
Some examples of specific Action Keys that can be created: a pair of Keys to change between high and low bit rate Encoding; a Key to recall the standard configuration of all parameters for a live shot; or a set of three Action Keys to act as selectors, performing IP routing via the NXT 450 Decoder configuration parameters.
"This new control panel is a game changer for our customers," says Mondae Hott, Ensemble Director of Sales. "Now they can put the full power of any of our NXT Routers in the hands of even their busiest operators, without the risk of a mistaken configuration change."
The push buttons on the 5835 Action panel are full travel, professional grade switches. Full spectrum LEDs allow even the color of the Action Keys to be customized. They have removable, sculpted key caps and a comprehensive set of lens chips to make the customization truly complete.
Communication between the 5835 Action Panel and the NXT Router is carried by an Ethernet LAN. That connection can be as simple as a single cable connecting the two, or they can operate at a distance over a larger network.
The 5835 is a 1RU panel that is just 1.25" (30 mm) deep. It can be rack-mounted, sunk into a desktop, or used on counter top. It is powered by an external 12v supply, or directly from the Ethernet connection using the built-in PoE (Power over Ethernet) feature.
