Each year, rAVe Publications honors the most innovative manufacturers and companies at InfoComm–a trade show designed to showcase the latest technologies within the audiovisual, information communications and systems integration industries–with "Best of Show" Awards. This year, Casio was awarded "Best New Projection Technology" for its revolutionary LASER & LED Hybrid Light Source.
Now in its third generation, Casio’s LASER & LED Hybrid Light Source combines a Blue laser, a fluorescent element and LEDs to generate high brightness, while eliminating the need for expensive projection lamps that often need replacement. Casio introduced the world’s first LASER & LED, lamp-free projectors in 2010 and has since expanded its portfolio to include four different lines that are equipped with a variety of features fit for a multitude of environments: Pro, Short Throw, Signature and Slim.
Due to the lamp-free technology, Casio’s LASER & LED Hybrid Light Source provides a reduced total cost of ownership and allows users to count on a 20,000 hour estimated life span. On average, users will save hundreds of dollars after approximately 6,000 hours of use compared to traditional mercury lamps. All Casio Laser & LED Hybrid Projectors 3000 lumens and higher are also backed by a 5 year or 10,000 light source warranty.
“We are honored to receive the rAVe Publications award for ‘Best New Projection Technology’ at InfoComm 2012 for our LASER & LED Hybrid Light Source,’ said Matt Mustachio, general manager of Casio’s Business Projector Division. “We will continue to be innovators within the lamp-free sector and aim to expand our lineup with a next generation LASER & LED Hybrid Light Source. Stay tuned”
