The Material Handler performs data entry, transactions and physical tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing, and supplying materials (raw, work-in-process, and finished goods), and supplies to manufacturing personnel, workstations, and shipping carriers. Uses hand trucks and other motorized material handling equipment.   Prepares goods for final shipment (domestic and international). Keeps accurate logs (both written and on computer). This position is a temporary opportunity which may last 6+ months. 

What You'll Do: 

  • Participate in inventory cycle counts
  • Assist in periodic full physical inventory counts
  • Engage in material transfer fulfillment for material shortages and Engineering material requests
  • Move material to and from incoming inspection
  • Recycle packaging materials
  • May cross train between all Beaverton / Hillsboro warehouse sites  

Requirements

What You'll Need:

  • Minimum of two years prior experience preferred working in a warehouse environment with inventory cycle counting responsibilities.
  • Knowledge & experience using part numbers, inventory management computer systems
  • Experience using a hand truck and pallet jack equipment.
  • Valid OR driver license required in order to drive to other Planar buildings as necessary.
  • Forklift license desired.
  • Working knowledge of basic Microsoft Office software such as Excel, Word, E-mail, etc.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English i.e., read and follow verbal instructions.

 Physical Requirements: (daily)

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to bend , stand, walk and/or sit for majority of 8 hour shift
  • Ability to safely operate all required equipment and use packaging equipment, UPS and FedEx computer systems is required.
