The SQ-SMA-1104 is a SDI 1×2 distribution amplifier (DA) with analog video and audio monitoring. It is designed for Sequoia Series Signal Processing Platform. The SQ-SMA-1104 supports auto cable equalization up to 1000ft (about 300m). It extracts the embedded audio from the input SDI signal (SMPTE-259M-C, 270Mb/s, 525/625 component) through the internal de-embedding channel and outputs stereo audio after Digital-to-Analog conversion. Output volume can be adjusted for each channel individually. The SQ-SMA-1104 provides two CVBS outputs for monitoring. It supports dynamic UMD (Under Monitor Display) for inserting source name information on images. LED indicator on module edge shows the status information of signals, and the ADJ switch can adjust the parameters manually. Module with independent rear panel can be used in Sequoia 2RU frame. The SQ-SMA-1104 supports Sequoia Series platform’s network monitoring function. The module can be controlled and monitored via Sequoia network control module and SQ-MASTER platform control software.
