JVCKENWOOD AND BRADLEY DEVELOP NEXT GENERATION 4K PTZ REMOTE STUDIO CAMERA SYSTEM

WAYNE, NJ (April 13, 2015) – JVC Professional Video, a division of JVCKENWOOD USA Corporation, will demonstrate a new Bradley Engineering 4K PTZ remote camera for high-end broadcast applications at its booth (C4314) during the 2015 NAB Show this week in Las Vegas, Nev. The new camera system was developed through a joint collaboration between Bradley, JVCKENWOOD, and AltaSens, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of JVCKENWOOD.

The camera transmits a 4K Ultra HD (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) 60p signal via fiber to the Bradley Base Station, which provides genlock input, simple TTL level control protocol, and a dual ST fiber connection for more than 12 miles. Ideal for live sports and event coverage in stadiums, the new camera can also be used for house of worship image magnification (I-MAG), telepresence, and other applications.

Based on Bradley’s popular U3 camera head, the PTZ has 99 presets that can be recalled remotely – as well as pan, tilt, zoom, iris, focus, full paint, and color balancing control – using Bradley’s Remote Control Panel (RCP).The camera features the same Super 35 CMOS sensor used in JVC’s new GY-LS300 4KCAM camcorder, as well as a Micro Four Thirds (MFT) lens mount that supports B4 and PL lens adapters.

The collaboration behind this project has been amazing, with engineers from all three companies working together as a single team,” said David Bradley, CEO of Bradley Engineering. “The result is a true remote camera with outstanding picture quality and few compromises. There is no need for fiber converters, and with the native option of using MFT lenses, the cost of a fully working system can be kept within reasonable 4K budgets.”

The new 4K camera module will also be demonstrated by AltaSens (Booth C12435) and Bradley Engineering (Booth C11426) during NAB.
