The software-based system, which leverages the MediaFlex™ OS video operating system, is available as a turnkey solution with hardware provided, as software only for running on standard COTS servers, or as fully virtualized for data center environments.
The VS7000 features live broadcast-quality encoding, innovative video preprocessing and faster-than-real-time file transcoding for all-IP environments. In addition to MPEG-2, MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) and HEVC transport streams, the VS7000 supports the major adaptive bitrate formats, including Adobe® Flash®, Apple® HLS, Microsoft® Smooth Streaming and MPEG-DASH.
